The Goliards, Savannah's ancient music ensemble, specializes in well researched performances of early Renaissance and Medieval music on historic and replica instruments.


Instruments include the vielle (Renaissance fiddle), rebec, gittern (both stringed instruments, folk harp, straight bore recorders, sinfonie (hurdy-gurdy) and portative organ.


The Goliards will perform on Sunday, December 3 2017 at 4 p.m. at The Collegiate Church of St. Paul the Apostle.  This program of madrigals and ballate from 14th century Florence is given in honor of the Very Rev. William Willoughby III, Rector and Dean of Savannah, in honor of his 30 years service to St. Paul's and the broader Savannah community.  The concert is free and open to the public.
